our brief tells us we need to choose an artist that could be seen performing under a label such as Sony
therefore for for my logo and branding I wanted to take inspiration from its minimalistic branding
it uses a simple illustration and text to establish the brand and its a familiar logo to most
groups such as the Warner music group use a logo with text sometimes appearing to clarify the brand name but the symbol itself uses letters of the name of the company therefore even without the text underneath its a recognisable symbol of the brand
for my brand name I chose the name "euphony records" the word euphony being a synonym for melody, incorporating music and yet being a unique brand name that'll be recognisable
for my initial design i took inspiration from the fluidity of the Sony logo, the colours are bright and stand out however I think the font is a bit too traditional
my second one uses a different more edgy colour palette and this will be able to change depending on the colour of my website I will change up the colour way in the future but the use of the simple shapes establish it and set it apart from other logos.
