The perfect audience member
My ideal audience member
in my research on UK tribes i decided to keep within the "mainstream" section. as our target audience in the brief states that the music has to be pop, a digestable sound that all can enjoy, it seems that people from within the mainstream guidelines fit perfectly. the song we need to choose has to be something thats playable on the radio one breakfast show and would feature in the charts, a defining feature of the "townie's" music taste.
the song "the girls" offers a fun and energetic vibe, making it a universal song that anyone, whether mainstream or not, could relate to and enjoy. therefore, the tone of the video should also fit this description. therefore the representations required will not necessarily be abrasive or controversial/taboo topics but social divides that are universally accepted as morally wrong. the townie and rah audience model suggest that they arent interested in politics and are more local and care more about their close surroundings, therefore my representations will bring focus onto issues or social groups that directly affect people at personal levels making them more human and digestable.
How she dresses:
my ideal audience member doesnt necessarily have a high budget. highstreet brands such as topshop, primark, new look, zara and occasionally urban outfitters. they follow trends but are able to make it personal to their style, whether its for practicality or their personal expression. for day to day looks like for college and seeing friends they will typically keep it lowkey, looking for form fitting comfortable clothes that flatter their appearance but keep an understated look. they will typically use accessories and shoes to elevate a look. when it comes to going out its full glam with makeup and bodycon dresses, privded by sites such as missguided and pretty little thing that offer "value for money" outfits yet provide a glam look.

The food they eat:
when with friends this girl eats socially, it could be a weatherspoons or a macdonalds to other chains like nandos or wagamamas, again her life is centred around her town and its highstreet. this however isnt to say they only eat fast food, while this girl enjoys being out with friends and not paying a fortune its likely she takes pride in her appearance and weight etc so tries to restrict eating unhealthily. this doesnt mean that she drinks kombucha or eats kale but she doesnt restrict her diet to processed food. that being said her favourite treat is a takeaway curry.

The music she listens to:
In terms of music im going with the uk tribe description that says she would only listen to chart music and her experience with music isnt broad. the ideal audience member has a general knowledge of whats good and what isnt, i would say they have a knowledge of trends whether thats within her friend circle or online. she enjoys chart music and pop hits yet has an appreciation for urban artists and electronic/house music. she uses streaming services like soundcloud and spotify that enhance the range of music she takes in. its also likely she doesnt restrict herself just to pop music but broadening her aste to radio stations such a sone extra that play popular grime, rap and other artists. with her love of going outwith friends its likely she enjoys house and dance music finding the perfect blend between both pop and dance, therefore being invested in artists such as calvin harris, example, david guetta and diplo. she wouldnt necessarily be devoted to one genre or artist and play music on a track by track basis.
